Level 4 Reading Comprehension
Summer Solutions 4th Grade Reading Comprehension is for students entering 5th grade. Without ongoing practice, literacy skills lag over the summer break. However, students can bridge the summer learning gap with 4th Grade Reading Comprehension. All educational standards require children leaving Grade 4 to refer to specific passages to explain and draw conclusions, summarize a text, articulate the main idea, identify sequencing and cause/effect, and increase reading level of informational texts on various subjects. Using the summer workbook, students complete 30 lessons of mixed review over a 10-week period, and this ongoing practice ensures retention of literacy skills and concepts covered in fourth grade. Additional skills in the workbook include building vocabulary recognition, using context clues to understand vocabulary, making inferences, and distinguishing between fact and opinion. By completing just one lesson three days a week, students enter fifth grade ready to begin learning new material right away. These summer workbooks include a complete answer key.
